Emotional Intelligence Training Course

The learning experience

Information
We used to consider intelligence and emotions as being opposites, however it is now widely recognised that the two are interlocked, and that in fact, emotions have a greater influence on how we behave and make decisions than rational thought.
Emotional intelligence (EI or EQ) has also been shown to play a meaningful role in mental and physical health, and can contribute greatly to an individual’s success in both their personal and professional lives.
Developing your EI is essential to developing meaningful human relationships, including the relationship you have with yourself and the ones you have with others. In order to realise your true potential, you need the ability to understand and manage your emotions, and to gain insight into the emotional state of others. So whether it be improving interpersonal communication, strengthening social relationships, dealing with stress, boosting resilience, or aligning colleagues behind a vision - emotional intelligence plays a central role.
This virtual course will help you to understand what emotional intelligence is and why it is such a critical skill in the modern workplace. You will explore the four pillars of EI and some of the key skills that support them: including recognising and managing your own emotions, changing your instinctive response to events, demonstrating empathy, and building rapport with others through effective verbal and nonverbal communication.
