A blended learning experience combines the best of both worlds — live, interactive learning and flexible, on-demand digital content — to create a more engaging, impactful way to learn. At Hemsley Fraser, that could mean expert-led workshops, bitesize digital modules, immersive experiences, or collaborative group projects, all connected in a carefully designed learning journey.
The goal? To keep people engaged, give them the tools and practice they need, and reinforce their skills over time — all in the rhythm of their work. Our 4E methodology (Excite, Engage, Embed, Evolve) ensures every element works together to drive lasting change, not just a one-off “learning moment.”
Today’s leaders need more than technical know-how. The 10 capabilities of great leaders include:
1. Leading inclusively: Evidence shows inclusive teams perform better, are more creative and have superior wellbeing. Being inclusive is more than words, and even actions, it begins with mindset.
2. Being authentic: Research shows authenticity is associated with greater wellbeing, happiness, engagement, innovation, and retention.
3. Growing talent: The best managers/leaders have a growth mindset for themselves and their teams. They identify and use the unique strengths of their team to deliver performance.
4. Nurturing change readiness: Agile managers/leaders proactively read and act on signals of change. They are open to better ways of working and champion innovation.
5. Fostering psychological safety: Being able to speak up is foundational for team creativity, performance, learning and wellbeing. A safe environment is not a soft one, nor is it always comfortable.
6. Having straightforward conversations: Leadership is all about conversations - about results, customers, strategy, learning, innovation, performance, wellbeing.
7. Building connections & relationship: The best manager/leaders build and nurture constructive relationships internally and externally. They take the time to really know others. They care about the enterprise beyond their own team.
8. Providing direction & clarity: All the team know where their role fits and how they contribute. Goals are aligned and well communicated. They know the ‘why, what and how’.
9. Delivering sustainable performance: Managers/leaders are outcome focused. They pay attention to the short and longer term. They are mindful of the wider impact of their decisions – on society, the environment and communities they serve.
10. Creating purposeful agile plans: Leaders need clear, compelling, and well managed plans to support individual, team and organisational success.

- Collaboration & communication – connecting people, ideas, and purpose.
- Empathy & emotional intelligence – understanding perspectives, building trust, and creating strong relationships.

No problem — almost all our training courses and bitesize 90-minute sessions can be delivered exclusively for your organisation. We can run them in-person, virtually, or in a blended format, depending on what works best for your teams.
An in-house course means:
- The delivery can be tailored to your context, culture, and challenges.
- Your team learns together, building shared understanding and stronger working relationships.
- You can choose the timing, format, and pace to fit your schedules.
Just tell us which course you’re interested in, and we’ll work with you to adapt it, so it has maximum impact for your people.
If you want to create a tailor a training course or create a custom programme, here’s the process we follow:
Step 1 – Share your goals: Clarify the skills, behaviours, or outcomes you want to achieve. This helps us understand your vision and set the right direction from the start. (We can also support you in a consultative capacity to help shape your goals and identify needs, if required.)
Step 2 – Understand your audience & context: Tell us who’s taking part, their current capabilities, challenges, and work environment. This ensures the learning is relevant and impactful.
Step 3 – Discuss the best learning approach: Together, we’ll decide on the delivery style — in-person, virtual, digital, or blended — to best suit your learners and objectives.
Step 4 – Choose the topics/course(s): Select from our portfolio of 100+ ready-to-go, engaging learning journeys.
Step 5 – Tailor delivery or custom content to meet your needs: Adapt content to fit your team’s context — we can tweak examples, activities, and emphasis to align with your goals.
Step 6 – Add enhancements (optional): Decide if you’d like to include extras like digital assets from our award-winning library, custom content, simulations, coaching, or additional tech support.
Step 7 – Plan the learning journey: Map out timing, pacing, and reinforcement activities. We use our 4E Methodology — Excite, Engage, Embed, Evolve — to maximise retention and application.
Step 8 – Deliver the experience: We’ll bring your learning journey to life using engaging, memorable, and impactful methods for your team or cohort.
Step 9 – Measure impact: Agree on success measures and how we’ll track them, so you can see clear results and ROI, and we can act of them to evolve the solution.
We’ll guide you through each step, combining your insight with our expertise to design a programme that works in the real world and delivers lasting results.
At Hemsley Fraser, we believe learning should be engaging, relevant, and make a real difference — not something people read, listen or watch and forget the next day. That’s why we design every training course and learning experience with three things in mind:
1. Human-centred design – We start with your people, your goals, and the challenges you’re facing. Our learning is always practical, relatable, and built to fit your organisation’s culture and to suite different learning styles.
2. Proven learning methodology – Our Excite, Engage, Embed, Evolve framework ensures learning sticks. We don’t just deliver information; we create opportunities to practise, reflect, and apply new skills over time.
3. Flexible, blended learning journeys – Whether your emphasis is on in-person workshops, virtual training, digital learning, or a global custom programme, we adapt the learning experience to work best and, where possible, in the flow of work.
We also make sure our content is fresh, inspiring, and grounded in real-world application. That means:
- Expert facilitators who bring deep subject knowledge and energy to every session.
- Practical tools and resources learners can use straight away.
- Ongoing reinforcement so skills don’t fade.
The result? People leave not just knowing what to do differently, but feeling confident and motivated to actually do it. That’s why our learning experiences are trusted by organisations worldwide to drive lasting performance improvements.
We work with organisations of all sizes and sectors — from global enterprises to growing businesses — helping them build the skills, mindsets, and capabilities they need to thrive.
Some of the sectors we regularly work in include: Financial services, engineering, energy & utilities, healthcare & pharma, media, technology & professional services, telecoms, retail, consumer goods, as well as public sector & government.
Our clients range from household-name brands and global corporations to mid-market organisations and fast-growth businesses. While we work in different industries, they all share a common goal: to invest in their people, their engagement and capabilities, and to see measurable results from their learning and people development.
Because we’re platform-agnostic and operate globally, we can scale solutions to thousands of learners or focus on small, high-impact team initiatives. And we work closely with every client to make sure the learning feels relevant, culturally aligned, and results-driven.
