Leadership practices based on the overall concept of ‘being agile’ are now widely recognized as an aspirational approach - not only for leadership at an individual level, but for the transformation of the organization in its entirety. You have probably heard the term “agile” in many different contexts and maybe wondered how this might apply to you as a leader.

This half-day course will help you to understand what agile leadership looks and feels like, how it is different to more traditional leadership and why it is important for success in the modern organization.

You will focus on four key behaviors of an agile leader – Empower Others, Be Inclusive, Foster Collaboration and Create Meaning – and will explore how to develop the mindset, skillset and toolset that will enable you to embody each one. You will leave with your own plan of how to adapt your leadership approach to become more agile.

This course is aimed at experienced leaders and managers who would like to incorporate the principles of agile leadership into their practice.

By the end of this course you will be able to:

  • To identify the practices and characteristics of an agile leader, and how this differs from traditional leadership
  • To assess your workplace against a formula for organizational agility
  • To apply four fundamental behaviors of agile leadership to your everyday practice
  • To create a personal action plan for implementing the principles and behaviors of agile leadership

  • Using Anticipate, Adapt and Act to cultivate an agile workplace
  • How to embody the 9 principles of agile through your leadership practice
