Implementing a new strategy & leadership structure for a national retailer
- To raise awareness about a new business strategy & operational model, we designed and delivered a program for 250+ leaders, in 75 days from contract launch to implementation
- To facilitate key messaging & link learning to the business rhythm we leveraged iPad-based solutions for learning & on-going communications
- To create memorable learning outcomes for participants, we served as a full logistics & event planner for our client
- To assist the client with sustaining desired change we continue to partner for on-going program support & training for new managers
HF was retained to create and lead a series of learning inventions ranging from large-scale & experiential conference events to management inductions including blended digital learning, targeted ‘espresso’ training, all supported by bespoke media (film & animation) creation. Through this program of events 260 leaders were trained simultaneously on topics ranging from interview skills, coaching & feedback, interpreting P&L and scorecards & observing customer service interaction points. At HF’s recommendation, the program also featured the provision of iPads to all participants, not only to facilitate the ongoing distribution of learning content & user support, but also to serve as a repository of all reference materials needed to perform their new roles. The ipads served as a means to communicate with others within the organization, including peer mentors assigned in conjunction with the conference events. Accordingly, the program served to merge leadership training into the core business systems & processes of the client.
A major focus on immersive and memorable learning events was a centerpiece of this program. Activities undertaken by the leaders included custom team building events, use of professional actors and set designs to increase the relevance and impact of the learning, memorable dining experiences & locations, orchestrating excellence with a Balinese musician and holding a competitive bubble soccer match in a hotel grand ballroom.
