Prior to his consulting and coaching work, Steven served in full-time senior Human Resources leadership positions in two of New England’s largest financial institutions, including Senior Consultant, Workforce Effectiveness Group, BankBoston (where he consulted internally on bank-wide diversity strategies, work/life initiatives, career development and performance management; he was also responsible for the design and implementation of training and education for domestic employees) and Senior HR Consultant, Learning and Development, FleetBoston Financial (where he was responsible for thought leadership, strategic planning and implementation of learning and development processes and programs, with a focus on leadership development).
Steven is an award-winning photographer, an avid gardener, and an adventure traveler; he has trekked in the Himalayas of Nepal, white-water rafted in the American Southwest and sea kayaked off the coast of Mexico to watch the gray whale migration.
Steven received his undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Rochester and received additional training in clinical counseling skills, diversity/inclusion, quality management, understanding sexual harassment, corporate culture change, values-based leadership, improvisational theater, MBTI interpretation, Innovative Intelligence, organizational development and leadership development.
